Rushville, Indiana- The Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation recently awarded three Rush Memorial Hospital employees with scholarships. In a commitment to ensuring that high-quality, health care is available to the community, the scholarship program encourages current employees to continue to advance their careers and knowledge through education.
Sanket Naik, Rehab Department and Andrew Kipp, Information Systems Department were awarded the Rush Memorial Hospital Employee Reimbursement Scholarship. Cara Williams, Provider Services, was awarded the Wade Weston Scholarship.
Sanket Naik recently completed his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Sanket completed a Fellowship program in Movement System Impairment, which trained him to diagnose and treat abnormal movement patterns in patients with musculoskeletal pain. When asked why he chose to pursue more education, he shared “I wanted to do this program because I knew it would make me grown in my field and better serve our patients.”
Andrew Kipp is also a recent graduate and earned his Bachelors degree in IT, Software Development. At his award, Andrew shared “I am grateful and blessed to be selected for this award because it has been challenging to continue my education while trying to establish myself in my career field, both financially and while completing a degree-in- progress. This award will allow me to develop my skills further and better serve our community.”
Cara Williams is currently in school to complete her BSN with plans to also earn her MSN. Cara has been certified as an EMT- B and has previously earned her LPN and ASN. In her words, “Being able to continue my education to be able to help provide care in the community has been a dream of mine for a long time and this scholarship will help me continue my journey to reach my goal.”
These monies are available through the support of generous donors and through the annual RMH Golf Outing that will be held on July 13, 2019 and the annual Lights of Love event to be held on December 5, 2019.
