Donors can give gifts in many ways to the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation. Recently a donor that wishes to remain anonymous gave a $4,805.00 gift so that Rush Memorial Hospital will have a vein finder.  This vein finder will be used on patients that finding veins in the customary manner for blood samples and IV’s becomes difficult.  Special lights are used that will allow the nurse or lab technician to easily see the vein to be used.  Carrie Tressler, Vice President of Nursing at Rush Memorial Hospital, was thrilled when informed of the donation.  “This piece of equipment will make the blood draw or IV insertion so much more comfortable for the patient where finding veins is difficult.  This will make their experience a better one here at the hospital.  Thank you from our RMH staff and our patients for this excellent gift.”

Donations given to the Rush Memorial Hospital are used for equipment needs, special projects, designated funds, and changes at Rush Memorial Hospital. A hospital is always upgrading to meet the needs of patients and guests.  If you would like to give to the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation you can donate online at www.rushmemorial.com/foundation, mail your gift to RMH Foundation at 1300 North Main Street, P.O. Box 215, Rushville, Indiana 46173, or stop by the RMH Foundation Office located on the 1st floor of the hospital.  All gifts are tax deductible and will be acknowledged in writing to the donor.  Your gifts do make a difference in the lives of patients everyday.
